With the departure of foreign social networks, many began to look for an alternative and test different platforms. In professional communities, ЯRUS and TenChat were often mentioned. In this article, we figure out whether it is really possible to get traffic, partners and leads there.
TenChat is a promising analogue of LinkedIn
What is it? A social network for professional contacts with recommendation algorithms, like in Zen. The platform itself positions itself as a "business community of active people." That's why it is called the Russian analogue of LinkedIn.
TenChat has two content formats: posts and stories. Stories are visible to subscribers, and posts are included in the general feed. They are seen by both subscribers and those who could theoretically be interested in your content. TenChat also has unique services:

"Business.Tinder" is a networking service. Similar to a dating app, you are shown potentially interesting contacts. You can subscribe to these people or swipe to the side to skip the offer.

Company database. You can find clients or check a counterparty in it. The service provides financial and legal data of companies and calculates its own financial trust index.

Services for earning. This is a database of municipal property, bankruptcy auctions and government contracts. In them, you can search for lots for redemption, a good order or premises for rent.
What is the audience? According to TenChat, the social network has a million active users. The app gained popularity in March 2022, when its traffic increased 586 times. There is no demographic data, but you can find anyone on the social network - from freelance designers to entrepreneurs from Forbes ratings.
How does promotion work? There is no official advertising in TenChat yet. The basis of promotion there is content: thanks to recommendation algorithms, posts can collect coverage of 100 thousand views and more.
You can also use mass following and mass liking to establish business connections. This is how they look for partners, investors, employees. Perhaps cross-marketing will be relevant in the future, but there are no such cases in the social network yet.
Does business need TenChat? Yes, because it helps with networking, developing a personal brand, finding employees and partners. We asked entrepreneurs how they use the social network — and here are the answers we received.
Dmitry Evsyutin, head of projects at the digital agency Interium, shared the result with PlanFact: he did not attract leads purposefully, but nevertheless received several job offers.
"I worked in TenChat for a couple of weeks, because I thought the social network was promising. If we talk about quantitative results, then we managed to get 11.5 thousand coverage, 232 reactions, ER of the last two posts - 6.8% (12 posts in total).
But people come to TenChat not for indicators, but for results. Moreover, the audience of the social network is still small and it can be physically difficult to beat the numbers of VKontakte, Odnoklassniki or Telegram.
Thus, in a few weeks through TenChat, without any targeted search, we managed to get 4 job offers, 1 request for an interview, 13 potential contractors, 1 offer to move an office and an endless number of financial gurus, psychologists, coaches and mentors.
There were no direct sales for the agency, since we work more with large organizations. But if I worked as a freelancer, TenChat would definitely take its place in my personal ranking of ways to find clients.
I will definitely continue to use TenChat, especially as the social network continues to develop. In my opinion, it will fully reveal itself at the end of the year, when the update with the ability to create company profiles comes out. That's when it will become truly useful."
SMM marketer of the company "Turov and Partners" Yaroslav Tikhonov says that you need to go to TenChat urgently if you are not there yet. He received 2,600 subscribers and ten leads for the company's services for free.
“If I were to rank the social networks that were a discovery website development service for me in 2022, TenChat would definitely take first place. The platform’s huge advantage is that it has gathered only an adult, business-minded, and solvent audience. You can easily ask the CEO of a company for advice, exchange experiences with a doctor, find business partners or even an employer. You can also read someone else’s blog and improve your knowledge.
I created our company’s blog and published three articles a week for three months. As a result, more than 2,600 people subscribed to the profile, and the publications get more than 1,000 views. In our subject area, the reach, unfortunately, is small. For example, my colleague, who runs a blog on cryptocurrency, has a reach of 50,000 people. And these are already impressive numbers.
To monetize the profile, I insert links to our free and paid products at the end of the articles. Result: more than 10 leads for checklists and 3 people bought participation in a paid conference. I think this is a good start, considering that a minimum of time and 0 rubles were invested in the development of the blog"
Gennady Mercury, the head and marketer of the Mercury Marketing & Consulting studio, has been using the social network for only a few months, and has already managed to gain a thousand subscribers.
“I’ve only been on TenChat since May. And at the time of writing this comment, I have just over 1,000 subscribers. And the most important thing is that they were all recruited “from scratch.”
I didn’t invite friends to TenChat, didn’t “transfer” audiences from other social networks, and didn’t even abuse mass following. I partly conducted such an experiment — would it be possible to promote myself “without almost anything” or not.
There was no specific reason to register on the social network. I just heard about it enough times to get interested. And then — installation, studying the interface. The application seemed convenient and promising, so it took root.
I don’t have the task of finding clients on TenChat, but requests come in from time to time. I treat this rather as a pleasant bonus, since the main idea is to build an active audience. TenChat copes with this.
The main feature of TenChat for me is the Zeus algorithm. If you write useful posts on your profile, then from time to time they get into the global feed (i.e. they are organically woven into the user's news feed, among friends' posts). In this way, you can gain thousands or even tens of thousands of reach. This is why new people subscribe to me.
There are also disadvantages to the social network, such as the lack of pins, delayed posting, and more significant statistics on posts. But these are rather nitpicks, since the application is quite young, which means that all this is only a matter of time.
In general, I am happy with the social network and will continue to be "present" there. Moreover, on many platforms, among the ways to contact me, I now indicate TenChat. This means that I believe in its prospects"
